In a bizarre partnership that challenges conventional predictions, the game developer has announced an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

According to the formal statement, "An unusual meeting draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where rumors of prohibited rituals and monstrous changes resonate through the darkness." The narrative introduces a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who charges the characters with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a clandestine sect.

The mission focuses on "strange tests and a fearsome foe" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Places and Metamorphoses

The trailer highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser concludes with a striking sequence showing a character, likely the prisoner, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Items and Additional Features

Players who finish the adventure will receive an exclusive katana alongside several items concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
